Officer Joseph E. Maxton has
served with the Westfield Police Department for over 20 years. He is
currently assigned to the Community Police Unit and has been since
1996. Previously he was assigned to the Detective Bureau as a Crime
Scene Investigator responsible for the collection and preservation of
evidence at the crime scene. Officer Maxton is a
life long resident of Westfield. Graduating from Westfield High School
in 1981. After graduation he enlisted in the United States Marine
Corps Reserve. Serving from 1981 to 1987 Joining the Police Department
in 1986 Officer Maxton is one of six members of the Police Department
Motorcycle Squad, and is qualified for the ATV program. Officer Maxton
Is a Department First Responder instructor.
